"I don’t give a rip what strategies your church employs so long as you are doctrinally sound and none of your strategies clearly contradict Scripture."

Amen. That should be a guiding position for all our actions as Christians.

"All sides need to exercise a little more humility when it comes to the various ways we “do” church."

May it be so. Thanks.

Alvin,

Great article. I would just add that if in fact it is God's intent for people from all tribes and nations to gather at the throne, then it must be a fact that intentional and strategic evangelism and missions actually embeds Jesus into every culture and the language, and culture will be different; thus, the diversity is necessary to accept because the worship, proclamation of gospel, discipleship, ministry and missions always comes out of personality and culture. We should NEVER confuse the substance of worship, with the style of worship. Nor should me confuse the function of preaching, with the form of preaching! Praying for a missional, I mean, Great Commission resuregence!! May the tipping point and major breakthrough happen in Louiseville. We must contend and contextualize the gospel in every culture!!
