The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina recently sponsored an Essential Church Conference at Apex Baptist Church. The speakers included Thom Rainer, Sam Rainer, and Darryl Craft. Podcast with Tullian Tchividjian
The latest InSight Podcast of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina is an interview with Tullian Tchividjian, founding pastor of New City Church near Fort Lauderdale and the newly elected pastor of the historic Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. Tchividjian is the author of several books, including the forthcoming Unfashionable: Making a Difference in the World by Being Different (Multnomah, 2009). Oh, and if you didn’t already know, he is also Billy Graham’s grandson.

Thomas Meredith and the Early Biblical Recorder: Two Articles
This year marks the 175th anniversary of Baptist periodicals published for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC). Thomas Meredith (1795-1850) was one of the patriarchs of North Carolina Baptists. He pastored two churches in eastern North Carolina, helped establish the state convention in 1830, and co-founded Wake Forest College (now University) in 1834. Meredith College in Raleigh is named in his honor.
